the compromise is not possible
is the title of an hour-long composition written for female voice, drums, electric guitar and organ by Slobodan Kajkut, an independent contemporary composer from Serbia. It premiered in 2005 in Graz as a commissioned piece for "Hörfest", a festival for contemporary music.
Written to be performed at churches only, it is a combination of traditional contemporary composition techniques with Rock and Heavy Metal: Harmonies, rythmic changes and silence meets distorted guitars, feedback orgies and drums inspired by Speed and Death Metal.
Three years after its premiere at St. Andrä Church in Graz, it was reperfomed by the same musicians at the same location and recorded and released as a double LP by the austrian independent label Wire Globe Recordings.
For all of you, who wonder who Slobodan is: "The Striggles" - rings a bell? he's part of them, among other bands like "Jubbooko sa Negrass", "Mizar" and "Betty Blue".
On november 4th 2009 "the compromise is not possible" will be performed at the parish church (Stadtpfarrkirche) of Linz at 20:30.

INTERSTELLAR FESTIVAL '06 - big party, good times! we didn'nt yet get around to sort through all the pics taken but will do as soon as possible... we'll keep you updated!
at the moment we're busy with the finishing touches for

CHANG FFOS are going to play on
may 12th @ stadtwerkstatt in linz - let's officially call it
release show - together with IMPENDING FALL from graz. the records will be available from then on! see you there!!
yes, and we even have more good news to announce: the next and upcoming release we're working on right now is an album with
REFLECTOR from graz - a heavy, slowmotion metal-noiserock duo who should already be known a bit by now, at least here in austria. this is going to be a collaboration with our friends from
noise appeal records, vienna and should be available for the ruin festival in vienna (= very soon), unless nothing seriously fucks up. more info soon!

PEACH PIT's bruno is all busy with a new band recently (besides PEACH PIT) - a noiserock trio called
TIGROVA MAST. fkkkn great!!
SENSUAL LOVE's mercy also rocks hard again (as SENSUAL LOVE unfortunately seem to be over and out for good) - playing the drums for
DELILAH. yeah!
and if you get the chance to see
MEN KILLING MEN live - do it!! these dudes are our favourite kids from linz at the moment - weird'n fast'n noisy hardcore... reminding of maybe a mix between RORSCHACH and TODAYISTHEDAY...? whatever, who cares, we love them!!

CHANG FFOS' upcoming debut album
